It combines the look and feel of a traditional website with flexibility and extra features including blogging. With thousands of themes and plugins to choose from, a webmaster’s choice is infinite.

WordPress can also serve as your domain’s webpage. Many sites are using WordPress as the backend for their site, but it’s indistinguishable from a traditional webpage.

In the past, developers used expensive applications like Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Frontpage, and Microsoft Expressions to design webpages. These applications run between $150 – $400. Now webmasters can design their site for free with WordPress. It’s open source technology and is used by companies like CNN, Ebay, the New York Times, and hundreds of other high-profile companies. Once WordPress is up and running, administrative time is very low.

To set up WordPress as an application on your hosted domain, you need to create an SQL database, install the WordPress application, and install the plugins or themes desired.

This is where GES Publishing comes in. We can provide as little or as much support as you desire. The most basic service is to install the current version of WordPress and get it up and running. The control is then given to the webmaster.

Other services include installing plugins such as spam filters for comments, contact forms, themes, and other customizations.

Basic WordPress installation is $99. This includes creating a site that’s live and fully functional, but the rest is up to the site owner.
